Buckle your seat belts for a fantastic literary adventure, including an amazing book selection and an around-the-world voyage on International Family Night! Book Fair will run from Wednesday, February 25th through Friday, February 27th, and will culminate in one of ROE’s favorite nights of the year – International Family Night!

BOOK FAIR HOURS (ROE MUSIC ROOM) 

February 25th – February 27th

7:20am – 2:30pm, daily

Book Fair is also open during Family Night, February 27th!
6 – 8pm

 

How to Visit Book Fair

Parents and special guests are welcome to visit the Book Fair!  

 

You have several options:

Visit with your child’s class: Schedule of Classroom Shopping Times

During the school day starting at 7:20am (just check in at the main office) 

During International Family Night on Friday evening from 6:00pm - 8:00 pm

 

 

 

Create an eWallet to allow your child a safe, secure, and cashless way to shop at the Book Fair.
(Pro tip: You can use an eWallet to provide funds for a teacher to buy books!) 

 

Funds will be instantly available for your child to shop. No certificate and no receipt required at the Book Fair - the eWallet is all digital. 

 

When you create an eWallet, please be sure to include your child’s first and last name and the teacher’s first and last name. If you’re making a gift to a teacher, include the teacher’s first and last name in both the student and teacher fields.  

 

Volunteer at the Book Fair

Come volunteer with us! Pick a single shift that works for you or sign up to help out all week. Join the fun and make this year's Book Fair the best one yet!  

 

Teacher Wish Baskets

When you shop at the Book Fair this week, don’t miss our Teacher Wish Baskets. Classroom teachers will select a number of books that would be wonderful additions to their classroom libraries. 

 

INTERNATIONAL FAMILY NIGHT

February 27th
6 – 8pm

 

Held each year on the last night of our annual Book Fair, International Family Night is a celebration of the diverse cultures of our incredible ROE families! 

 

 We are excited to share that we have representation for the following cultures and countries:
African American Culture, Brazil, China, Colombia, Cuba, France, Germany, Guyana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kashmir (India), Mexico, Nigeria, Palestine, Poland, Puerto Rico, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Philippines, and Venezuela.

The deadline has passed to sign up as a primary table host or performer, but if you are still hoping to participate, you are welcome to reach out to our Family Night Chairs via email (familynight@riveroakpto.org) to see how you can support any of the tables!  

 

 

Attending International Family Night

Tickets are $5 per person and include all activities, performances, and food for the evening. All attendees over the age of 1 need a ticket.


deadline to purchase: FRIDAY, February 27th @12pm

Feel free to bring your own water bottle to International Family Night. No water will be provided at the event.

 

The teachers' parking lot (off of San Felipe) will not be available for general event parking. It will be reserved for teachers, staff, performers, and designated volunteers only. Please note: While neighborhood parking is encouraged, parking on both sides of Avalon is not allowed. Parents should park only on the school side of the street. 

 

There will be two (2) check-in locations:
Parents’ Last Names A-L will enter through the double red doors by the Nurse’s office off Avalon (Door #2). 

Parents’ Last Names M-Z will enter through the main front doors off Kirby (Door #1). 

Be sure to know where you enter. Please look for the signs!

Book Fair will be open in the Music Room the entire evening. 

 

Cultural performances will take place outside under the Pavillion (blacktop) in the playground area throughout the evening. Maps of the event and a schedule of performances will be available on-site.

 

Volunteer at Family Night
International Family Night needs YOUR HELP to make the evening a success!! We need help with everything from set up, check in, coordinating performances, clean up and more! 

 

Your Passport

Get ready to travel the world—no suitcase required! We’re excited to invite you to print your very own International Family Night Passport! Inside, you’ll find the full event schedule and a colorful map to guide you to each culture’s table. Use your passport to plan your journey, explore new traditions, and collect memories along the way.

 

 

Food & Dietary Information

 

International Family Night will include foods shared at individual tables by participating families. In addition, there will be appetizers courtesy of local restaurants provided in the cafeteria. Because items are independently prepared, detailed ingredient information may not always be available.


Families with food allergies or specific dietary needs are encouraged to use their own discretion and speak directly with table hosts or vendors about ingredients.
