Grandparents' Day!

Mid-September

7:10 AM - 8:00 AM

Join us for a classroom visit followed by a coffee reception in the Nature Center!  We're bringing back an ROE tradition! Grandparents are invited to tour our school with their grandchildren and walk them to class.  The kids will be working on a special craft and letter to share with their special visitors in their classrooms.

What to Expect:

7:00 AM: Stop by the special photo station on the ROE front lawn

7:10 AM: ROE Doors open

7:10 AM - 7:40 AM: Grandparents and students visit the school, visit classrooms, and share their work and a special gift.  The classrooms and teaching staff will NOT be hosting breakfast for students and our guests.

7:40 AM: Grandparents make their way to the Nature Center for refreshments.

Arrival

  • Grandparents and grandchildren may arrive between 7:10 AM and 7:30 AM.
  • We hope to have a nice flow in arrivals in order to best accommodate all who would like to attend and to lessen the impact of additional guests on campus during regular school arrival time.

Parking

  • There will be 2 officers on hand to assist with traffic flow and security
  • Please help your child's grandparents make a parking plan or other arrival and departure arrangements. Avalon allows parking only along one side of the street and the school's circle drive can only be used for those families with access and guests requiring assistance.
  • Grandparents may need suggestions for nearby alternatives to keep arrivals and departures as stress-free as possible!
  • If your child's grandparents are not participating in the visit, please consider using the carpool line on San Felipe or parking a little farther away in the neighborhood to allow our grandparent guests easy access to campus.
